In the previous year's of kiss there has been up to 300 members on our ventrilo server at any 1 time.
Wether it be learning things together as pointed out in the picture below.



Or socialising, team gaming pve or pvp based, it has always had a good response. The contact between gamers of Guildwars and MMO or online game's. Believe it or not your actual skill level in the game is improved on a huge scale.

Voice commmunication helps with key points of where to go, what to do, how to use something, pulling agro, and generally working together better as a team. "providing someone is willing to lead the group"
In this case you do not need a microphone just a good pair of ears.

As a  gamer you seem to get dragged into a different kind of community, to the point where using a keyboard to type is required alot less, It makes things easier, your fingers are free for what ever is needed by you and your group at hand. "regardless of what you are doing in the game"

Regarding KISS being a guild/community I would like to point out that, it doesnt really matter what guild/clan or gaming community you joined. A guild is what you make it, they cannot make it work for you.
The reason I am saying this is simple: Everyone is different, people are sociable/unsociable. If you seriously seek a helpful community, then KISS would not be recommended for the unsociable. Me personally I aim to please people within my guilds, from gaming, to giving someone the chance to help me with the community its self. "In this case Voice communication is a must.

It is also the best way of socialising and making new friends. Although admittedly there does seem to be a barrier you as a person would need to break first. "The silent, shy type" This is very frequently inherrited by most genuine people. Especially if it turns out to be you'r first time.
In this case please keep in mind: We are here to help you and have alot of patients in doing so.
As long as you are at least willing to try, then I am 100% sure you will find what you seek.

I have seen people join us via voice communication, they have been here for several year's only to meet someone, with a little more hmm, well ill just say I know people from our community that have got married or simply met each other at least once. I think its extremely nice to know and from my side. seeing we made it happen for them. "its just a nice feeling"
You might think its cheesey for people to meet online but people do it everyday. Its a way of life now.

I personally look at my own time as a gamer, nevermind the founder of the largest community in guildwars, and remember the time I first tried ventrilo. how uncomfatable was I? I used to think hmm people in my house will think im crazy talking to my computer, but I got past that and just did what I felt was right. I have never looked back since. I will deal with any situation over voice communication good or bad, Ill happily run group's through elite area's in Guildwars, "join runs and just listen to them"
Hell ill even just join a channel and listen to people talking garbage, and laugh about it.

Anyway these are just some of the things that happen between gaming/team work and voice communication. "funny or not" Its a great advantage.

The main reason for this post as long winded as it seem's, is to point out that "WHEN" Guildwars 2 is Finally released. Due to the ranking system and general material within the game itself. I am announcing that one of the ranks that we will have here will be absoloutely essential to [KISS] as a guild and as a community. The rank which we will later announce will be related to team work of the dedicated members of kiss that will be willing to use voice communication around the clock when playing Guildwars 2 as part of our community.
There is absoloutely no way in Guildwars 2 that a guild can play together as a team in pvp for example.
Waiting for res, not knowing if you are going to get it? trying to type to everyone with the layout of chat session's in guildwars 2 is simply not going to work. Bare in mind the amount of members there are in KISS, even worse the amount that may return to us for GuildWars 2. The chat sessions would be insane with res spam and rage. I really want to focus on exessive voice communication, for the guild.

However the use of the voice com will be set to 1 rank within the guild.
This does not mean you'r un-welcome or made to feel that you have to use it.
I encourage you to try it.
At the moment we are using a ventrilo server: this is paid for by me, for free use to you.
It is safe and secure to download, easy to install and there is video tutorial's on our site to get you connected for the first time. "When connected and registerd" You do as you please on the server, no need for permission to move channel, or sit and listen to anything you do not wish to hear. There is an AFK channel that is muted for piece of mind. Remember you do not need a microphone.
The choice is yours.
It does not or will not affect me personally if you decide against it. I will not think any less of you or disclude you from my help in the game's I play, I am not that kind of person.

This is just my view and I am sure other people will have things to say in this post.

Firstly to start kiss will have: 1 Guild without cap and if required without discussion it will obviously expand. "This being on the same server for the forseable~" god knows what will happen as there are hundreds/thousands of members that may return to the guilds at later dates or on due release date of the game.

Regarding kiss on other server's at the moment: This is not an intention at the moment.
The approach we aim for is on one server only. Easier to find: for google users etc.
Later on in like a year then who knows.
We do have an issue to where other guilds will be on the server and regarding world vs world they will be our allie "no choice in the matter" due to being housed on the same server.

The emblem "well who knows at the moment" Me personally I would love to see nothing more than a new look for the community in guildwars 2. Especially with top rated pvp'ers joining the guild. We dont intend to keep them seperate, from guildwars 1 although it is a completely different game, with an edge. We intend to do our best for gw2.

As for guild names we really dont want to make or break any guilds or the names/memories from the original Guildwars. "guild names will be new" though the tag will stick. [KISS]
This does not mean there will not be oportunities for anyone in Guildwars 2 and KISS.
We have some nice idea's. "but lets gets established in the game first"  :dance:

I think we, being the guild, should aim high for Guildwars 2. meening lets not spread ourselves to thin on the ground and go hopping to different servers to make a [KISS] guild that had 5 europe or american members in it from Guildwars 1. We are and should be as good as a gaming family/community. Able to hit targets and play together, Achieve things as done in guildwars 1 with our Guild of the week and dual ownership of towns for luxon and kurzick.

Kiss is a guild name that will not be forgotten in guildwars. It would be just great to make a dent on the gw2 community forever.
